In addition to making it easier to open and lift off your spa’s cover, a cover lifter will help to extend the life of your cover by reducing natural wear and tear. Bottom line, if you haven’t already invested in a high-quality lifter, it’s time to change that. Here are a few tips for selecting the right one, as well as a few of our favorite models.
What to Consider
We offer a wide selection of lifters so it can be tough to decide which one will work best for your spa. Here are a few things to consider before making a selection:
Make and Model: While there are some lifters that are built to fit a variety of hot tubs, there are some that are only compatible with certain units. When selecting a lifter, make sure to note whether or not it will work for your spa’s make and model.
Size and Shape: We carry hot tubs of a variety of shapes and sizes, ranging from 2-seaters to 8-seaters, so make sure the lifter will work for your particular model. If you own a unique model, we recommend speaking to one of our representatives to determine which lifter will work best.
Physical Strength: The whole point of a lifter is to ensure the opening process is as easy and effortless as possible. However, there’s a difference between the higher-end models, which virtually eliminate the work associated with opening the cover, and the less expensive ones, which will still require a small bit of physical effort.
Size of Your Space: If you’re lucky enough to have an extra-large deck with plenty of space around your hot tub, you won’t need to worry about choosing a compact lifter. If you have a smaller deck area, measure the clearance around the sides and back of your spa to ensure there’s enough space for the lifter.
Personal Style: Thanks to our wide selection of lifters, we have the perfect option to suit your unique style. Make sure to choose a color and finish that will match your hot tub’s shell and cabinet, as well as your deck decor.
